How&nbsp;can cinema make sense of it?&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.locarnofestival.ch\/about\/factory\/real-academy.html\">REAL \u2013 Reality Exploration Academy of Locarno<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;is a ten-day&nbsp;program that brings together cutting-edge&nbsp;<strong>audiovisual research<\/strong> and <strong>creative practices<\/strong>&nbsp;to explore how <strong>reality<\/strong> is represented, questioned, and reimagined on screen. At the crossroads of theory and industry, it offers a unique space for dialogue between scholars and filmmakers, inviting participants to reflect critically on the power and responsibility of filming the real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\"><em>REAL<\/em> builds on the legacy of the successful <em>Documentary Summer School<\/em> after 25 editions with a\u202fnew reimagined format for the 26th, designed to challenge perspectives and propose new ways to navigate the evolving landscape of non-fiction media. <em>REAL<\/em> is more than just a summer school, it\u2019s a&nbsp;meeting point between theory and industry, where academic insight and film culture collide to explore the future of nonfiction storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" has-text-align-left eplus-wrapper\"><em>REAL<\/em> embraces an innovative approach that incorporates video essays as practice-based research, utilizing Locarno Film Festival as a laboratory environment for both study and creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" eplus-wrapper\">The REAL Academy is presented by the Locarno Film Festival and the Universit\u00e0 della Svizzera italiana (USI). It is organized by Eleonora Benecchi, Kevin B.
